August (allowing for planned renovations at All Saints'),
the joint Sunday services are at Ascension:
for July, they were at All Saints'.
Getting There:
See map at lower right...
In order to get to Ascension by car, go to Main St, south of the Queensway and then (see map): • Turn onto Graham Avenue (West) • Turn left onto Echo Dr (A nearby 'No Left Turn' sign only applies to left turns onto Colonel By Dr. - ignore it for left turns
onto Echo Dr.) • Contine briefly on Echo Dr, just past Church of the Ascension • Turn left into the Immaculata High School's parking lot • Park and walk into the Church of the Ascension.
Alternative route to Ascension: From Main St, turn in the Immaculata High School (see the pink line on map) at the Oblate Ave traffic light.
Rides? Anyone
wanting a ride to the service at Ascension should leave a name and
phone number with the church office, and you will be contacted to make
individualized arrangements. Those gathering before 9:50 am at All Saints' Sandy
Hill, near the 317 Chapel entrance, will also be able to receive a
ride.

pm—Dinner at 5 see also theopentable.ca
The
open table speaks of the shining promise of barriers broken
and
creation healed. Starting last September, we’re hosting an open
community meal geared primarily towards college/university students and
young professionals.
We eat. We meet. We reflect.
And we
connect – with each other, with God, and with the community. As we do
so, in community with one another, we try to work out what it means to
be faithful in the midst of work, school, family, and relationship. In
short, our community seeks to encourage one another as we connect the
dots between faith and real life.
For
the next Open Table, on
August 29,
All Saints' Sandy Hill is
providing the space and the meal
will be provided by the participating churches in turn.
