All Saints' Support for the Community
Sandy Hill
is one of the most vibrant neighbourhoods of Ottawa. It
attracts a flux of students,
academics, artists and professionals, and we offer our support to them
all.
Outreach
The parish likes to share its joy, reaching out to
the secular
community with social events (dances, teas, bazaars…). Of course there
is also
an outreach to any Christians, with even the most subtle links to Sandy
Hill,
to worship, sing and study with us either as a visitor or as a new
parishioner.
Facilities
The facilities of the parish are available to host
non-parish programs
and events, in Sandy Hill, that are consistent with the primary
purposes of the
parish. Facility rental fees can be subsidized by the parish to levels
well
below commercial rates.
Sandy Hill Food Bank
All Saints’ collects non-perishable food to address some of the
need for food
in Sandy Hill. The food is donated at parish services of
worship, and at other parish events. The collected food is distributed by St. Joe's Supper Table - the Sandy Hill Food Bank distribution centre: St. Joe's Supper Table 151 Laurier Avenue East St. Joe's food distribution centre is open on Fridays from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
